Opportunity for 5 days Consultancy Work on Project Evaluation

We are looking for a person with experience of project evaluation to undertake an evaluation of our heritage preservation project funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.

Our project “Pioneering Immigrants: Commemorating 70 Years of Panjabis of Southall “,  was launched in March 2018 and is targeted at recording & preserving the heritage of the Panjabi settlers in Southall particularly in the 1950s, 60s and 70s & their contributions in the social, economic and political field locally and nationally.

The project has engaged and trained volunteers in film making skills and archive research, conducted oral history interviews with local people and is producing a documentary film, 2 exhibitions and booklet on the heritage of Panjabi community in Southall.

You must have experience of project evaluation.

Applicants will be expected to work flexibly and produce a written project Evaluation Report by May 2019.

Previous experience of evaluation of heritage project is desirable but not essential.

Our ConnectingWomen2Communities is an exciting pilot project, managed by a Consortium of 5 Partners focusing on reaching & supporting isolated older women from Asian & other BME communities & tackling loneliness.

You will recruit, develop & support volunteers to deliver personalised packages of support to alleviate isolation & connect older women with existing local services and activities. You must have demonstrable experience of working with older women, engaging & supporting older people along with building, coordinating and supporting partnerships and multi-agency collaborations on older people’s needs and services.

We seek a highly motivated person with proven partnership development, community and volunteer engagement, user empowerment, project development and fundraising skills who is able to consolidate our project into a long-term sustainable service.

You will be consulting our partners, local community organisations and other key stakeholders on setting up a Black & Ethnic Minority Community Network in Southall, evaluate effectiveness of our existing Partnership and deliver an evaluation report outlining best models for building a sustainable BME Community Network/Partnership, including its structure, terms of reference, membership etc
