Children’s’ Digital Learning & Engagement worker

We are looking for highly motivated person to lead our work with children and young people with severe disabilities, young carers and their families in Slough.  The postholder will be responsible for developing and embedding Digital Technologies (DT) e.g. internet platforms, social media and mobile devices  to enable us to a) adopt ‘remote and virtual’ methods to deliver bespoke 1-2-1 and 2-2-1 personalised care support packages to children and young people with severe disabilities b) engage and support our users in individually tailored stimulating and interactive activities using DT.

You will have experience and working knowledge of the needs of children and young people with disabilities, young carers and their families from diverse communities.

You must have ability and experience of developing and modifying websites; setting up online and ‘virtual’ bespoke support activities to meet particular needs of children and young people with disabilities include those learning disability, sensory impairment, physical disability, autism and aspergers syndrome, having multiple disabilities and special needs;

Knowledge of Web Applications and programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery and API’s is essential.

 

Part Time Young Carers Development worker

Post will reach and engage young carers through i) setting up interactive online educational, informational, learning platforms and activities which improves their mental and physical wellbeing and independence  ii)bespoke 1-2-1 home based and ‘online tutorials’ to familiarise and skill young carers , their parents and their siblings and peers on ‘using, navigating and managing’ appropriate DMIT tools e.g. internet, social media

You must be able to work with & support children and young carers and engage them in activity which meets their social, educational and personal development needs and empower them through using ‘digital’ skills and learning methods

 

Part-Time IT Administrative Worker

Post will update existing and set up new  IT based office administrative and record keeping systems,  establish and operate ‘remote’ working and reporting arrangements  including and organisation’s service delivery to children with disabilities, young carers and their families along with organisational  management systems and processes and financial monitoring and reporting

 

All  above Post-holders will be based in Slough

You will be responsible for reaching and engaging isolated older people from Asian & other BME communities, alleviating their isolation  and improving their physical and mental wellbeing and l focus on helping older people learn and use basic IT skills e.g. digital, mobile phones & other IT tools to connect with local activities and groups.

You will have experience & ability to work with isolated older people and help them learn basic IT skills within their home family or community settings, work and coordinate learning and engagement activities collaboratively with diverse community groups along with ability to report to a Steering Group. You must be able to understand the needs of older people and be able to monitor and evaluate effectiveness of activities.

 

Post-holder will be based in Southall

Upto £150 per day inclusive: 1 day per week

We need someone to help us reach and engage isolated older people through using Digital, Mobile, social media tools and to help older people learn basic IT skills and connect with local activities and groups.

You will have experience & ability to work with older people and help them learn new skills within their home family and community settings.

Postholder will be based in Southall

We will consider appointing 1 person to both posts.

Part-time Befrienders*

£18 per hour

( 5 Hours per week)

We seek Befrienders to reach and engage isolated older people in Southall and in Slough and support them to learn basic IT tools e.g. Mobile phones, Whats App, internet, Zoom, etc to connect with friends local community & services.

You must have knowledge and experiencing of using basic IT devices and communication tools and ability to support isolated older people to learn basic IT skills and support them to engage and with local people, activities and groups.

Ability to building trusting relationships is essential.

 

Postholder will be based in Southall

except * where  2 posts will be Slough based.
